AND THE MOST WORSHIPFUL GRAND MASTER BROTHER DAVID W. MILLER, TOGETHER WITH HIS GRAND LODGE OFFICERS, WILL LAY THE CORNERSTONE FOR THE NEW MUNICIPAL BUILDING IN TILTON, ILLINOIS ON JULY 10, 2004 AT 2:00 P.M. HOSTED BY FURTHER LIGHT LODGE #1130, DANVILLE, ILLINOIS.

Illinois Masons

All lodges are invited to attend this event.  A 5 Foot by 3 Foot map of the state of Illinois will be on display for all attending Masons to sign.  This map will be given to the Grand Master.

EVENTS CEREMONY

  • A Blood Drive will be held from 12 Noon to 2:00 P.M.
  • Masonic Registration and signing of the map of Illinois from 12 Noon to 1:45 P.M.
  • The Grand Lodge Cornerstone Ceremony will begin at 2:00 P.M.
  • A Time Capsule will be buried.
  • Speeches by honored guests.
  • Winning essays from our Junior High School essay contest "Freedom In America, What It Means To Me" will be read by famous Masons such as George Washington, Ben Franklin, and King Solomon.
  • Famous Illinoisan Abraham Lincoln will also make an appearance.
  • A plaque will be presented by the Grand Master to the Lodge which has the highest percentage of their members in attendance.

PRIZES

  • Every Mason signing the attendance book will receive a door prize ticket.
  • Prizes include a $50.00 gift certificate, coffee table books, and much more.

REMINDERS

Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.

  2. Coming from the East or West on I-74:  Exit South on Exit 214, 3 blocks to 5th Street, turn left, travel East and Northeast to location.
